MTA CEM

A dental filling cement with high fluidity consisting of oxides Minerals in the form of hydrophilic microparticles.

It is used for permanent teeth in adults and temporary teeth in children for the following processors:

  • Furcation defect.
  • Root perforations, caused by internal resorption.
  • Pulp capping.
  • Pulpotomy.
  • Apexogenesis.
  • Apexification.
  • Periapical surgery with reverse filling.
  • Easy to blend and easy to apply into the prepared hole.
  • High sealing capacity thanks to sclerosing expansion which prevents germs, bacteria and fluids from entering the root canal.
  • The ability to stimulate the formation of cementum around the root.
  • More radial shadows than dentin and bone.
  • Induction of dentin bridge formation when placed over exposed pulp.
  • It can be used in humid environments without changing the properties.
  • It hardens in about 15 minutes when kept in a humid environment.
